  • Average life span: 10-12 yrs.
  • Color: black, brown gray or black and white
  • Coat: flat, water-resistant; coarse outercoat with dense undercoat.
  • Grooming: brush daily; bath as needed; regularly brush teeth and inspect eyes and ears, trim nail weekly.
  • Personality:  sweet disposition; devoted companion.
  • Trainability: high 
  • Activity level: moderate; requites daily walks or swims. 
  • Known health problems: bloat, heart disease, hip and elbow dysplasia, cancer, autoimmune disorders.
  • Good with children: yes with training and supervision.
  • Good with other pets: yes with training and supervision.
