Dogs And the Annoying Christmas Fire Trucks

I do not want to be a Christmas Humbug and I know there will be people that do not agree with me, but this needs to be said. Why do the fire trucks need to blast the sirens around the neighborhoods to let everyone know Santa is here. I understand it is for the children, but do you have any idea what is it doing to the dog population. To them it is just as bad as fire works which I will talk about another day. It drives the dogs crazy and it is a very sad thing to see. Couldn't the fire departments send out schedules to each town when Santa will tour the neighborhood? Then they would not need to use sirens and any loud bells to announce they were coming. I think it is great what the Fire Department does and I even love it, but minus the sirens. I would love to hear from everyone with your thoughts. Thank you and Happy Holidays!

  1. Well said, no sirens and horns. The fear the animals incur and the damage they do to their houses is not worth the joy a few kids may receive. Setting up events at the firehouse just like they do for Halloween may also be a solution.
